Chiriyakhana

Chiriakhana or Chiriyakhana (Bengali: চিড়িয়াখানা) (meaning the zoo in Bengali) is the name of a Bengali film, by Satyajit Ray, starring Uttam Kumar, released in 1967. The story is originally written by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, a suspense thriller with Byomkesh Bakshi as the protagonist.

An addition to the master piece of Satyajit Ray, combined with talented acting by Uttam Kumar. The story of the film circles around a retired Judge Mr. Sen who stays at a farm house at the outskirts of Calcutta. His farm house was the house to lot of other inmates with notorious past. And one day the judge was murdered under mysterious circumstances. Promptly the local police has involved Byomkesh for the investigation. Byomkesh being a close acquaintance of the judge was more than willing to solve the murder mystery. He then goes on to solve the mystery with lot of twist and turns in the story.
