Chipmunk Basic
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Chipmunk Basic is a version of BASIC for the Apple Macintosh maintained by developer Ron Nicholson. Chipmunk Basic has object-oriented capabilities and has also been ported to Linux and Windows. The "windowed" Macintosh version includes a wide variety of graphics drawing commands and object oriented constructs. It is freeware and seems to run without bugs, but it does not have a very good help file.
The current version of Chipmunk Basic (and its spinoff products for Palm OS, cBasPad and HotPaw BASIC) was based on a public domain, text-only Pascal implementation by David Gillespie, author of the Pascal translation tool p2c.
