Chip Franklin is a comedian in the Baltimore, Washington DC area and host of a talk show on WBAL AM 1090 in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a self-described libertarian. Franklin often uses humor to voice his opinion on government policies. He has won the National Edward R. Murrow award and two regional Murrows for his satiric essays on politics.

Franklin has appeared numerous times on The O'Reilly Factor, CNN, Paula Zahn, Fox and Friends, The Situation Room, and MSNBC. A recent show featuring the Commissioner of the Baltimore Police Department was subpoenaed by a federal grand jury.

A veteran stand-up comic, Chip has headlined thousands of shows as a stand-up, speaker, and featured guest. He has over a dozen appearances on national television, including Evening at The Improv, Comic Strip Live, VH-1 Standup Spotlight, MTV, Comedy Central, The CBS Morning Show, and The A-List on A&E. He has also written for The Tonight Show and Politically Incorrect.

Born in Alexandria, VA, Chip is the youngest of five children. His father was a Washington DC police officer and his mother assistant to the U.S. Attorney's office. Chip is married and has two sons.

Chip Franklin is heard from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM, weekdays on Baltimore’s 50,000 watt WBAL 1090 AM, www.wbal.com. In addition, he also co-hosts WBAL's The Buzz with Dan Rodricks and Clarence Mitchell IV which runs 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. On Fridays Chip hosts The Week In Review with Mickey Cucchiella, Alan Walden and Peter Schmuck in the time slot from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
