Chiodos (pronounced: Chee-Oh-Dose) [2] is a six-member emo/post-hardcore band from Davison, Michigan. Formerly known as "The Chiodos Bros." before the truncation, their name was derived from brothers and directing duo, the Chiodo brothers (Charles and Stephen Chiodo), famous for movies such as Killer Klowns From Outer Space.

[edit] Background
The original Chiodos line up did not include Derrick Frost and Jason Hale. Both those members were added later. Originally they had Seth Adams and Chip Kelly on Guitar and Crosby Clark on Drums, but the band and those 3 members decided to go their separate ways, that's when Derrick Frost and Jason Hale were added.
Chiodos started off playing at the Flint Local 432 a small venue in downtown Flint, Michigan that showcases bands from around The Flint area such as Apathy For An Enemy and The Swellers. From there, the band started touring extensively, soon becoming "word-of-mouth faves across the nation."[3] Chiodos has toured the United States at least seven times, and have played alongside such bands as Coheed and Cambria and Yellowcard[4]. The band is well known for their onstage performances which include high-pitched vocals from Craig Owens and circus like antics of Bradley Bell the keyboardist. One of their most notorious live sets was at the New Jersey music festival "the Bamboozle" on May 6th, 2006, in which a plethora of videos were released on YouTube immediately following the show. They currently have a recording contract with Equal Vision Records where they released their debut album, All's Well That Ends Well on July 24th, 2005. The album reached #3 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart and #164 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.[5] The band's shows and albums have both garnered praise from press outlets.[6][7][8][9][10]
The band headlined a few shows before opening for Armor For Sleep during their early 2006 winter tour.[11][12] They supported Matchbook Romance on the Sub City Take Action tour in spring 2006. Fear Before the March of Flames toured alongside Chiodos in the summer of 2006. Chiodos also appeared on the 2006 Warped Tour. Chiodos will appear on Atreyu's World Championship Tour, along side From First To Last and Every Time I Die, as well as 3 and 36 Crazyfists for the European tour in the fall of 2006. After reports of Sonny (from From First to Last) having throat/vocal issues, Craig offered to help sing, although this never went through after FFTL was kicked off the tour.
In 2005 they made a home video for the song "All Nereids Beware", and in 2006 videos for "One Day Women Will All Become Monsters" and more recently, "Baby, You Wouldn't Last A Minute On The Creek" for their new release All's Well That Ends Well (Deluxe Edition), which includes all the songs from the original CD, plus 3 new tracks. One of the new tracks, "Lindsay Quit Lollygagging" is a finished acoustic version of one of the band's better known songs off of their "The Best Way to Ruin Your Life" EP. The Deluxe Editon of All's Well That Ends Well was released on October 17th, 2006.
Craig Owens, the lead singer, along with Bradley Bell are also involved in a more pop influenced side-project entitled Cinematic Sunrise. Craig has also done vocals in The Sound of Animals Fighting. Brad has played keyboards for The Sound of Animals Fighting at several shows, but is not officially a member of the band.
On November 18, 2006, Chiodos filmed a live video for "The Words 'Best Friend' Become Redefined' at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, California. The band played the song three times in order to get the crowd reaction they wanted.
