Chinese refers to anything pertaining to China. Specifically, the term may refer to:
- Chinese people, people of Chinese ethnicity,
- Citizens of the People's Republic of China (including Hong Kong and Macau) or the Republic of China (Taiwan).
- Zhonghua minzu, the supra-ethnic Chinese nationality that includes Han Chinese (the ethnic majority in China) and Ethnic minorities in China
- Overseas Chinese
- Chinese language
- This usually refers to Standard Mandarin, which is the standard spoken form of the Chinese language officially recognized by in the People's Republic of China, the Republic of China and the Republic of Singapore, and is the spoken form of Chinese most commonly taught as a foreign language.
- The term can also refer to Standard Cantonese, especially when used in the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau in the People's Republic of China.
