Chikushino, Fukuoka

Chikushino (筑紫野市; -shi) is a city located in Fukuoka, Japan.
Bordering on Dazaifu, Chikushino is essentially a suburb of Fukuoka City. As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 95,892 and the density of 1,093.04 persons per km². The total area is 87.73 km².
The city was founded on April 1, 1972.
