Chicken Selects, sold at McDonald's, are chicken strips similar to Chicken McNuggets. They were introduced in early 2002 for a limited time and offered again in late 2003. They are available in 3 pieces, 5 pieces, or 10 pieces. Dipping sauces include Spicy Buffalo, Creamy Ranch, Tangy Honey Mustard, and Chipotle Barbecue.
In the UK they were launched on the 'Pound Saver Menu' (which offers various menu items for £0.99).
Recently, to get the Selects to sell better[citation needed], McDonald's created the "Snack Wrap." It contains one of the strips, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and ranch sauce, all wrapped inside a white flour tortilla for 99¢-$1.29, depending on the market.
This product is currently no longer sold at most McDonald's Canada restaurants across the country, due to poor sales and high production costs, though during December 2006, some select restaurants began a one month reintroduction of Chicken Selects due to the market testing of Chicken Snack Wraps. If reception is positive towards Chicken Selects and Snack Wraps, the products will be eventually phased into most McDonald's restaurants in Canada.
