Chicagoland Bicycle Federation
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation (CBF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the bicycling environment in Chicagoland. Established in 1985 as a membership-based organization, CBF works with local governments, such as the City of Chicago, and community groups to promote healthier streets for bicycling, walking, and public transportation. CBF also sponsors the annual Bike The Drive event, in which Chicago's Lake Shore Drive is closed down to car traffic on a Sunday morning to allow bicycle-only access to the route.
