Chicago Zen Center

The Chicago Zen Center is a Soto and Rinzai Zen Buddhist sangha in the Sanbo Kyodan lineage established in 1974 in Evanston, IL. The zendo is in a three story home that also contains resident occupants of the community. The presiding teacher is Sevan Ross Sensei, who has been there since 1996 and lives in nearby Skokie, IL. The community holds several Zen sesshin retreats throughout the year and well as a regular training practice.
