Chibuku is a brewery in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi. The beer Chibuku Shake Shake (so called because it separates out and must be shaken) is brewed from a mix of sorghum and maize, and sold in paper cartons.

It is also sold in 2 liter brown plastic containers with a wide blue lid, and in Zimbabwe these are known as "scuds" after the infamous missile used in Iraq. It is sometimes mixed with milk and cream for breakfast. To the inexperienced palate it tastes like gruel and sour milk.

Chibuku is best drank 2 days after brewing; drinking chibuku after 6 days of brewing is not recommended as it is prone to make people sick.

Although chibuku is delicious, there is bad stigma towards those who drink it. It is thought to be a drink for lower class people Chibuku is also the name of one of europes most important punkabilly bands, playing what they call "PsychoticPower Rock'n'Roll". Chibuku play frequently all over the world. Chibuku Shake Shake is also a club night in Liverpool, England. It hosts DJs playing a wide rande of musical styles, but frequently centres on breakbeat.
