CHIC is an acronym that stands for Covenant High in Christ. Originally, it was Covenant High Congress, where different churches in the Evangelical Covenant Church would meet and discuss matters concerning the denomination as a whole, it is now a tri-annual conference for teenagers in the Evangelical Covenant Church. Started in 1956 in Estes Park, Colorado CHIC has become one of the biggest youth conferences in the world. The most recent conference, CHIC 2006 No Ordinary Day, was located at the University of Tennessee, in Knoxville, where approximately 6000 teens attended from multiple states and countries.
In the 2006 CHIC No Ordinary Day (July 16-21st), the conference raised approximately $100,300 and packed 500,000 meals, all of which is going to Bentiu, Sudan.
