Template talk:ChemicalSources

[edit] Use
This template creates a link to Wikipedia:Chemical sources, to be used in the external link section of pages on specific chemicals. It is used to replace all non-specific links to sites which supply data on chemicals (of whichever nature, scientific and commercial). Please remove all links to homepages of external sites on pages onto which this template is added (both in external links as well as in the supplier section), but keep (deep)links to data for now. --Dirk Beetstra T C 22:35, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] huh?
I don't quite understand this template. It provides an "external link" that that's actually an internal wikilink. But it doesn't meet either the internal link guidelines or the external link guidelines. What is it actually indended to do?
I came here after looking at Fluorescein. Is it just that the usage on that page is incorrect? The help for the template provides no concrete examples. -- Mikeblas 19:18, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
