"Chendamangalam is often said to be one of the best tourist sites in Kerala." Not the one where my family hails from. A small sleepy village with barely a bus service, back in the 70s,when I used to visit. Great place, but hardly a tourist attraction.

You're from chendamangalam too? Hit me up! Yeah, it was a small village back in the 70's. But apparently it has a presence as a tourist destination. You can check this information out on kerala tourism websites. Vivin Paliath (വിവിന് പാലിയത്) 01:01, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Have to second the opinion on the top of this page. My family hailed from there, and I recall many a trip to the megapolis that we called Chendamangalam :). Sleepy was an understatement. I remember walking to Parur with my cousins to watch a movie (the one cinema in C'mangalam was always inoperative), and coming back at 9:30, there would nary be a light on the road (there was only one significant one), or from the houses. Monsoons were always fun, as the bridge (yes, only one!) would go out of commission with the first few rains. All said and done, I loved my experiances in that place.—{{user outlier|he}} 21:29, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
