Cheyne (singer)

Cheyne is a female R&B singer who was still a teenager when her song "Call Me Mr. Telephone (Answering Service)" hit #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1985. Today she lives in London, where she is pursuing a career as a country singer. Her website is www.myspace.com/cheynepride

Actually, in an interview seen here (http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/05/14/1084289875719.html) she states that she is trying for a jazz album, not country. :)
