Chevy Chase View is a town located in Montgomery County, Maryland. Established as a Special Tax District in 1924, the town was formally incorporated in 1993. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 863.

Chevy Chase View is located at 39°1'4" North, 77°4'50" West (39.017759, -77.080508)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²). 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

The town lies between its parent town of Kensington, Maryland to the north and the Capital Beltway to the south. It is bisected by Connecticut Avenue. Chevy Chase View residents use Kensington as their mailing address. To the east lies greater Silver Spring, to the west both Garrett Park and Bethesda, and to the south lie the Beltway, Rock Creek Park, and the villages of Chevy Chase.

As of the census of 2000, there were 863 people, 303 households, and 232 families residing in the town. The population density is 1,281.6/km² (3,274.6/mi²). There are 306 housing units at an average density of 454.4/km² (1,161.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 95.25% White, 2.43% Asian, 1.85% Hispanic or Latino, and 1.51% African- American.

There were 303 households, out of which 38.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.6% are married couples living together, 4.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.4% are non-families. 18.8% of all households are made up of individuals. The average household size is 2.85 and the average family size is 3.29.

30.5% of residents are under the age of 18, 3.2% from 18 to 24, 20.0% from 25 to 44, 32.2% from 45 to 64, and 14.0% 65 years of age or older. The median age is 43 years.

The median income for a household in the town is $120,828, and the median income for a family is $139,468. Males have a median income of $100,000 versus $77,899 for females. The per capita income for the town is $58,916. 1.1% of the population and 0.0% of families are below the poverty line.

Except for the three houses of worship within its bounds, Chevy Chase View is entirely residential. Its streets are lined by hundred year old oaks, maples, and evergreens, plus decorative plantings which the town maintains in its right-of-ways. Housing turnover is slow. In recent years families with children have found its neighborhoods increasingly attractive, given the convenient public and private schools, playgrounds, and churches nearby. The town council maintains its own web site, and meets monthly to ensure the maintenance of Chevy Chase View's environment.

Resident students are zoned to schools in the Montgomery County Public Schools district, specifically to Rosemary Hills Elementary School (PreK-2), North Chevy Chase Elementary School (3-6), Westland Middle School, and Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School.
