Kerry James "Chester" Borrows is a New Zealand politician.
Borrows initially worked as a police officer, and later gained an LLB from Victoria University of Wellington in a record time, 2 years and 14 days. He was admitted to the bar in 2002, and worked as a corporate lawyer in Hawera. In the 2005 election, Borrows stood as the National Party's candidate for seat of Whanganui, and was successful, defeating the incumbent Jill Pettis of the Labour Party. Chester was born on June 20th, 1957. Chester has been married to his wife Ella for 26 years and has three children. His oldest son, Zac (23) is living in Canada and playing rugby. His oldest daughter, Abi (20) is working in Wellington and living with friends. His youngest child, Katy (17) is just going into her last year of high school and plays in a rock band, Good Trash, steadily rising in fame. He enjoys country music, tramping and spending time with his family.
