Chervona Ukraina

"Chervona Ukraina" (from Ukrainian: "Червона Україна" — "Red Ukraine") was a Soviet Svetlana class light cruiser attached to the Black Sea Fleet. Laid down on October 3, 1913 as "Admiral Nakhimov" (renamed to "Chervona Ukraina" on December 7, 1922), launched on November 6, 1915 and commissioned on March 21, 1927. Several Soviet naval commanders have served on the ship: Nikolai Gerasimovich Kuznetsov, N. Nesvitskiy, and Y. Panteleyev. The cruiser was destroyed by German bombers during the battle of Sevastopol on November 12, 1941.
