From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cherokee High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school, one of four high schools of the Lenape Regional High School District in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. Most of Cherokee's enrollment of 2,355 students comes from either Frances S. DeMasi Middle School or Marlton Middle School, which are parts of the Evesham Township School District, located in Evesham Township, New Jersey (commonly referred to as Marlton), a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Some students also come from the local catholic school, St. Joan of Arc.
The school's impressive, sprawling campus is situated on Tomlinson Mill Road in the heart of Marlton. Cherokee High School, home of the Cherokee Chiefs, boasts a student population the size of which rivals many small college campuses. Cherokee's students, whose diverse personalities make the school exciting, have continuously excelled at academics, sports, theater, and the arts. The students have long referred to Cherokee's student community as "the tribe," signifying the students' unity, mutual respect, and their "Cherokee Pride."
