Cherinbo (チェリンボ?) are one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards, and other media created by Satoshi Tajiri. The purpose of Cherinbo in the games, anime, and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon—untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments—and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]

Its name is a portmanteau of the English word cherry, and the Japanese word for cherry, 桜桃(sakuranbo).

[edit] Biological Characteristics

Cherinbo seems to resemble a pair of cherries. Both have faces, but only one of them has small feet and is larger (compare with Weezing). This one seems to have more control than the other. One has eyes open, and the other has eyes closed (compare with Clamperl).

[edit] In the video games

Cherinbo can be found in Sweet Honey Trees in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, using the sweet honey item, which comes from Mitsuhoney after they battle. One would think that wild Cherinbo may be holding Cheri Berries (the berry that cures paralysis), given what they are based on, but instead there is a chance that they may hold Miracle Seed. This Pokemon also resembles to a Hoppip
