Cheng Yu

Cheng Yu (程昱; 141 - 220) was an advisor to Han Dynasty warlord Cao Cao, Chancellor of China. Before the Battle of Red Cliffs, he predicted that Wu admiral Zhou Yu would use fire on Cao's fleet, but Cao Cao was confident that the winds would make such an attack ineffective. After Cao Cao's disastrous defeat, he was one of the few people who stayed with Cao Cao during his escape from the battle. He was a talented man on domestic affairs. He had a son Cheng Wu.
