Chenequa is a village in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 583 at the 2000 census. Chenequa is the second-most wealthy incorporated area in Wisconsin, with an average per-capita income of $86,552.

Chenequa is located at 43°7′24″N, 88°22′52″W (43.123399, -88.381173)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 12.1 km² (4.7 mi²). 9.2 km² (3.5 mi²) of it is land and 3.0 km² (1.1 mi²) of it (24.36%) is water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 583 people, 223 households, and 183 families residing in the village. The population density was 63.6/km² (164.5/mi²). There were 280 housing units at an average density of 30.5/km² (79.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 97.77% White, 0.34% Native American, 0.34% Asian, 0.17% Pacific Islander, and 1.37% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.86% of the population.

There were 223 households out of which 30.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.0% were married couples living together, 2.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.5% were non-families. 13.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.61 and the average family size was 2.88.

In the village the population was spread out with 22.8% under the age of 18, 4.6% from 18 to 24, 19.0% from 25 to 44, 37.2% from 45 to 64, and 16.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 48 years. For every 100 females there were 102.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.8 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $163,428, and the median income for a family was $166,623. Males had a median income of $100,000 versus $40,000 for females. The per capita income for the village was $86,552. None of the families and 0.5% of the population were living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and none of those over 64.
