“Chelsea boy” is a term used to represent a portion of the large gay community found in Chelsea, Manhattan. It is often used specifically to describe the gym-toned, young, hairless, gay males in this community.

Another, yet different definition would be the stereotype of a muscular, youthful, brash and forward lesbian woman who celebrates the masculinity of her physical features and embraces lesbian culture rather than attempting to blend in or behave in an effeminate manner as would, in popular conception, a lesbian in Windsor.
