Cheick Samb

Cheick Samb (born October 22, 1984, in Senegal) is a professional basketball player. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2nd round 51st overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. On June 28, Samb was traded to the Detroit Pistons for shooting guard Maurice Evans. Samb is 7 ft 1 in (2.16 m) tall and weighs 215 lb (98 kg). In 2005, he played for WTC Cornella in the Spanish LEB2 league, averaging 9.6 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.1 blocks for 29 games. He led the league in blocked shots, registering more blocks than the totals of every other team in the league, except for one.
