Chapkin came from the name Chepkin (which translated from the Russian Tzipkin) when Arthur Isaac Chepkin (b.1921) decided to change the name to Chapkin before he married. Chepkin was the mistranslated Tzipkin when Arthur's father, David, arrived in Canada in the early 20th century.

[edit] Arthur Isaac
Arthur Isaac (born Arthur Isaac Chepkin) is referred to as the "original" Chapkin, being the first one ever. Arthur was born in Toronto, Canada. He was briefly enrolled in the armed services in Canada for WWII, but was discharged after the war was over never seeing any battles. Arthur's, or Art's, Jewish name was Aharon Yitzhak ben David. Art married a woman name Frances Burnholtz. Together they had four children: David (b.1952), Ellen (b.1956), Robert Stephen (b.1958), and Carol (b.1959). Arthur, now in his 80s, is still active. He plays tennis and golf despite his obvious bowlegedness.

David was the oldest of Art's children. He was a protective older brother and got the forceful nickname the "Croc". After attending college and becoming a lawyer, David moved to London, England. There, David met and later married Helen and had two children: Ali (b.1987) and Joshua (b.1989).

David, unfortunately, contracted a cancer and was forced to end his stressful carreer as a lawyer. He now works diligantly as a mailman.

Ali, the oldest child of David and Helen, was born and raised in London. She enjoys painting and talking with a British accent, which her cousin Wes (see below) enjoys mocking her and her brother about.

Joshua is the younger brother of Ali. He plays tennis and takes his game very seriously. He hates when he loses (even at tennis video games).

Ellen, the second child of Arthur and Frances, was born in Toronto, Canada. Her red hair stood out in a family of dark haired persons. She married Mel Spiegel and had two children: Jeffrey (b.1981) and Jonathon (b.1986).
Ellen and Mel developed marital problems and ended up divorcing. She is now married to Lonnis.

Jeffrey was born Toronto, Canada, and had a very sharp wit like his uncle David. It is appropriate that he is now studying law in college. Jeffrey's attitude came in contact frequently with his younger brother Jonathon and they thus frequently fought.

Jonathon (or Yannitan) was also born in Toronto, Canada. His love for video games was demonstrated by his owning of a myriad of systems. The first time he met his cousin Wes, he tought him how to play Sonic on a Super Nintendo.

Robert was the third child (and the youngest son) of Arthur and Frances Chapkin. Robert was born in Toronto, Canada.
[edit] Birth Problems
While inside his mother's womb, Robert became very sick as his blood type clashed with and thus became poisoned by his mother's. He was born a month prematurely but was able to grow stronger as the days passed.
[edit] Childhood
As a boy, Robert lived in a dangerous neighborhood. Violence was rampart all around his house. However, he managed to make friends with a boy who lived across the street name Mark Simbro. Mark, though mentally retarded, proved to be a great friend for Robert. Robert, or Robb, would sneak to Mark's house and eat little candies in the basement. Robert was always fearful of Mark's mother who recently passed away.
[edit] Bar Mitzvah
At the age of thirteen, Robb completed his bar mitzvah. On that day, he was wearing a purple suit because it was his mother's favorite color; however, a black-and-white photo does not reveal this today. Robb also had long hair, which today he lacks most of.

Robert decided to move to California to attend college. He went to the prestiges UC Davis campus. While attending school, he fell in love with the voluptuous Laurie Davidson.
[edit] Marriage
On August 31, Robert and Laurie were married. They had three children together: Wesley Aaron (b.1989), Kyle David (b.1991), and Ellisa Rose (b.1995).

Wesley, or Wes, was born in College Station, Texas.
