Charter Air

Charter Air is an airline based in Prague, Czech Republic. It was originally named Fischer Air and in 2005 it was rebranded to Charter Air. It operates charter services for tour operator Fischer to over 30 destinations in Europe and Africa, as well as for other clients. Its main base is Ruzyně International Airport, Prague.

The airline was established on 26 July 1996 and started operations on 30 April 1997 as Fischer Air. It was founded by Vaclav Fischer, owner of the Czech tour operator, Fischer. In 2005 it was rebranded to Charter Air to avoid confusion with its new Polish charter subsidiary, Fischer Air Polska. This followed the departure of the airline founder Vaclav Fischer.

Charter Air flies to many holiday destinations in the Mediterranean and North Africa, including Sharm el-Sheikh. It also operates a scheduled service to Malta.
