[edit] Trivia

  • This episode title is a play on words to stereotypical pirate speech in which the "R"s are long and drawn out. Similarly, the storyline used is quite similar to the one shown in the film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
  • This is the first appearance of actor Kerr Smith playing the role of Agent Kyle Brody. Coincidentally, Kerr originally auditioned for the role of Andy Trudeau when Charmed was first casting for the series.
  • The scene where Phoebe is trying to steal the Chalice from the museum is similar to the scene done by actress Catherine Zeta-Jones for the movie Entrapment.
  • Near the end of the episode, when the camera looks at Leo asleep with Chris and Wyatt, he has nothing on his stomach. Next shot of him and the kids, he has a book on his stomach.
  • Paige is shown to lose her eyesight as she grows older. In a surprising bout of continuity, in the Forever Charmed finale flashforward, Paige is shown to wear glasses.
  • This is the first and only episode to show Piper both blow up and freeze an object like the Source did in Charmed and Dangerous after he used the Hollow to steal her powers.

[edit] International titles

  • French: La malédiction du pirate
  • Spanish: Rompecabezas
  • German: Der Fluch der Piraten
