Charlotte Adams

Charlotte Adams was born in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia in 1859.
Her parents were Edward Pattern Adams and Barbara Adams (née Bethune).
In February 1881, at the age of 21[1], Charlotte accompanied her father on a surveying trip and became the first European woman to climb to the peak of Mount Kosciuszko.
The Village of Charlotte Pass, is named after her.
