Charles Dewayne (Charlie) Hayes (born May 23, 1965 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi) is a former third baseman in Major League Baseball who played for the San Francisco Giants (1988-1989[start], 1998-1999), Philadelphia Phillies (1989[end]-1991, 1995), New York Yankees (1992, 1996[end]-1997), Colorado Rockies (1993-1994), Pittsburgh Pirates (1996[start]), San Francisco Giants (1998-1999), Milwaukee Brewers (2000) and Houston Astros (2001). He batted and hrew right handed.
In a 14-season career, Hayes posted a .262 batting average with 144 home runs and 740 RBI in 1547 games played.

- 1993: .305 BA, 25 home runs, 98 RBI, 89 runs, 175 hits, 45 doubles (NL lead), 299 total bases, 11 stolen bases, .355 on base %, .522 slugging %, 157 games – all-career highs. Hayes is best known for catching the last out of the 1996 World Series.
Charlie currently gives baseball lessons and opperates a team along with a facility for the instruction of baseball, called "Big League Baseball Academy" in Houston, Texas
