Charles Moyer was president of the Western Federation of Miners. He was implicated in the 1905 assassination of Frank Steunenberg, ex-governor of Idaho. He was represented by Clarence Darrow, the most renowned lawyer of the day. Due to lack of evidence, he was acquitted.
