Charles A. Small

Charles A. Small is a professor with the Institute for Social and Policy Studies at Yale University, and the director of The Yale Initiative for the Interdisciplinary Study of Anti-Semitism. Professor Small is also the founding director of the nonprofit Institute for the Study of Global Anti-Semitism and Policy. He has a PhD from Oxford University, and has taught at the University of London, Ben Gurion University, Tel Aviv University, and Hebrew University. He was the the Director of Urban Studies at Southern Connecticut State University.

On September 19, 2006, Yale founded The Yale Initiative the for Interdisciplinary Study of Anti-Semitism [1], the first North American university-based center for study of the subject, as part of the Institute for Social and Policy Studies, with Small as director. He cited the increase in anti-Semitism worldwide in recent years as generating a "need to understand the current manifestation of this disease". [1]
