Charles-Emile Waldteufel

Charles-Emile Waldteufel (1837–1915) was a classical music composer, who was born in Strasbourg, France.

He studied at the Paris Conservatoire and joined a piano manufacturing firm, until he was appointed pianist to the Empress Eugénie, the wife of Napoleon III. He composed many waltz and light classical pieces during the Romance period, including Skater's Waltz and Espana Waltz.
