Chaos! Comics is a comic book publisher. Nominated by Diamond Comic Distribution as New Publisher of the Year in 1994, Chaos! consistently ranked as a top ten comic book publisher in North America since 1995.

Their titles include Lady Death, Purgatori, Evil Ernie, Chastity, Jade, Omen (Chaos comics), Bad Kitty, Cremator, Lady Demon, and Smiley The Psychotic Button. Chaos Comics filed bankruptcy in 2002 with all characters (save Lady Death) being sold off to Tales of Wonder.

They also published licensed comics for the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and several bands.

Recently Tales of Wonder licensed their Chaos properties to Devil's Due Publishing, making them essentially a DDP imprint. Under this arrangement, Chaos produced new series of Purgatori (monthly) & Evil Ernie (Limited Series) with Chastity book slated for eventual release. However, Devil's Due cancelled the new titles do to low sales, moving the Chaos properties back to limbo.

[edit] Doomsday

Doomsday was a one-off thrash metal album released in 1995 by the company. The album features a trio, originally from Van Nuys, California but who, at some time between 1995 and 1997, moved to Phoenix, Arizona, playing energetic bass heavy thrash. The CD was released in limited quantity to help promote the Lady Death and Evil Ernie comic franchises. The album cover features Evil Ernie beneath the Doomsday logo. The trio played at DragonCon '97 [1], but had little or no commercial success beyond this.
