Chandler's Purchase, New Hampshire

Chandler's Purchase is a township located in Coos County, New Hampshire, USA. It was granted by Commissioner Willey to Jeremiah Chandler of Conway in 1835 for $300 and contained about 10,000 acres (40 km²). As of the 2000 census, the purchase had a total population of 0.
In New Hampshire, locations, grants, townships (which are different from towns), and purchases are unincorporated portions of a county which are not part of any town and have limited self-government (if any, as many are uninhabited).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the purchase has a total area of 5.5 km² (2.1 mi²). 5.5 km² (2.1 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water. Its highest point is Mount Eisenhower (4,780 feet / 1,457 meters above sea level). The Ammonoosuc River flows through the purchase.
