Chaintech Computer Co. Ltd., founded in November 1986, is an important Taiwanese computer hardware manufacturer. The company officially renamed itself as Walton Chaintech Corporation in October 2005. Chaintech employs approximately 1,100 people all over the world. It is best known for manufacturing a wide range of value and performance graphics cards and motherboards, although it also produces sound cards, as well as modems and new added memory module products. Besides the company's Taipei headquarters in Taiwan, Chaintech has eight branch offices in different countries and regions: Hong-Kong, Beijing and Shenzhen (China), Korea, Sydney (Australia), California (United States), Paris (France) and in Moscow (Russia).

Recently (8/2006) Chaintech has chosen to exit the motherboard business and focus more on (the much more profitable) NAND flash memory. The company focuses on producing enthusiast computer parts but with regard to motherboards never ascended beyond a tier 2 manufacturer.
