Chail is an Indian hill station and hiking area. It is situated 43 km away from Shilma in Himachal Pradesh, India.

Chail offers views of the Himalayan mountains. In the Chail Wildlife Sanctuary there is a collection of rare birds and deer. There are also hiking trails through unpopulated areas.

The largest hotel is the Palace Hotel built in 1891 and later purchased by a tourism company in 1972. It sits on 75 acres of land with a spectacular view and offers various suites and rooms for tourists.

Chail is about 86-km from Kalka via Kandaghat. The approach of Chail is along the Kalka-Shimla route. It is necessary to take a detour at Kandaghat. From Kandaghat, it is an hour and a half journey by road to Chail.
