Chad W. Smathers

Chad W. Smathers is an American-actor best known for his upcoming role in 2007's "Shredderman Rules" with Devon Werkheiser.

Chad has been acting since he was five years old. He started out modeling in Portland, Oregon. His agency was so successful that it took on the challenge of representing actors for the Film and Television, and with that, Chad started taking acting classes. This fortunate shift not only changed Chad's ability, but granted him opportunities into media he never dreamed. Since then Chad has been appeared in films, theater productions, commercials, and television show. His first commercial airing in the northwest regions, was at the age of five. Since then he has been featured in commercials like Hanes T-Shirts, Go Nike, and Ford. In the first theatrical production Chad auditioned, he was cast as the lead, Charlie Brown; in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown Musical. His film appearances include: Faith Happens, Men of Honor, where he plays a drowning boy and Addison's Wall, where he plays a cruel bully. Shortly after having success in Oregon, Chad decided to pursue his acting head on, so he moved to California. After only two months in California, Chad took on a difficult role as a killer, in Without A Trace, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Just recently Chad was cast in an indie film, Faith Happens. He plays Doug. The film is due to be released in 2006.
