Chaïbia Talal

Chaibia or Chaïbia (full name Chaibia Talal, 1929 - April 2, 2004) was an autodidact Moroccan painter.

Chaïbia was born in Chtouka, a small village near El Jadida, Morocco. She was married at the age of 14 before becoming a widow at 15. She was influenced by works of artists from the Cobra painting Movement.
The painting of Chaïbia is considered as naïve. Her favourite paintings are on women.
