The Chūō Expressway (中央自動車道 Chūō Jidōsha-dō?) is a divided, limited-access toll road that serves Tokyo and Nagoya in Japan. The Chūō follows an inland route from Suginami Ward, Tokyo, through Yamanashi, Nagano and Gifu Prefectures before entering Aichi Prefecture and terminating just short of Nagoya at the junction with the Tomei Expressway in the city of Komaki.

A branch extends from Otsuki Junction in Yamanashi direction of Kawaguchiko Interchange in Fujikawaguchiko, near Mt. Fuji and the Fuji Five Lakes.

The Chūō Expressway ranks among the highest in tolls in the world. Expect to pay at least 1000 Yen when taking even a short drive on the Chūō.
