Château-Grillet AOC

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Château-Grillet is a wine-growing AOC and winery in the northern Rhône wine region of France, near Vienne.

The wines are exclusively white, made from the Viognier grape, similar to the better-known Condrieu AOC. The single estate of Château Grillet forms the entire appellation, a situation known as a monopole.

The vineyards stretch over two communes: Saint-Michel-sur-Rhône and Vérin.
