[edit] Summary

The Country Fire Service star logo is based on the Star of the Order of the Garter. The CFS adopted a logo similar to the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Brigade (now the MFS) which, along with many regimental badges of the Australian and British military forces, used the star as the background for their badge.
