Cessnock subway station

Cessnock subway station serves the eastern area of Ibrox and the Cessnock area. It is also the nearest station to Festival Park, and is the only station to retain its pre-modernisation entryway and livery.

It was opened in 1896 and modernised in 1977-1980. Nevertheless, the station still retains its original island platform configuration (with a single platform located between the two tracks). The station has no escalators.
