Cesar Rodriguez

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cesar Rodriquez (born 1979?) is the stepfather and accused killer of Nixzmary Brown, the 7 year old murder victim and resident of Brooklyn, New York whose child abuse related killing spawned local notoriety in the New York based tabloid newspapers as well as talks of reform within the city's Administration for Children's Services. Rodriquez, who married Nixzmary's mother Nixzaliz Santiago was an ex security guard and GI who was reputed to have a violent temper. He was known to have abused both Santiago as well as to have molested several of her children, but it has been speculated that he focused much of his abuse toward Nixzmary, in which he beat her repeatedly and denied her food. It has been speculated that January 10, 2006, either Santiago or one of the children informed Rodriquez that Nixzmary had taken yogurt without his permission, and had broken his computer printer. Santiago was then alleged to have stripped the child naked, placed her in a bathtub of cold water, held her head under the water and hit her head against the faucet. Nixzmary died from these injuries that she had sustained the following morning. Both Rodriquez and Santiago were arrested in connection with Nixzmary's abuse and death, and face a possible conviction of 25 years to life in prison. Rodriquez in particular gained much notoriety through the tabloid papers.
