[edit] Status of Ceratops
Although it cannot be currently confirmed that Ceratops is a relative of Chasmosaurus, since it is based on poor material, the age of Ceratops (Campanian, Late Cretaceous) makes it very likely that Ceratops is related to Chasmosaurus. Further excavation of more ceratopid material from the Rocky Mountain dinosaur formations may unveil the full anatomy of Ceratops. In this case, Ceratops is allied with Agujaceratops, Chasmosaurus, Eoceratops, and Pentaceratops in an unnamed subtribe of the tribe Chasmosaurini, which also includes a second, unnamed subtribe that includes Agathaumas, Arrhinoceratops, Diceratops, Polyonax, Torosaurus, Triceratops, and Ugrosaurus. Only time may tell. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.194.116.63 (talk • contribs) 19:21, 3 December 2006 (UTC).
