Cerealicious is a fast-food restaurant chain based in the Philippines. There are currently 6 branches located at: The Block, SM North Edsa; University of Santo Tomas, Manila; Sherwood Complex, Taft; SM Megamall; Theater Mall Greenhills; and SM City San Lazaro. Cerealicious offers Post, Nestle, and Kellogs cereals with milk and a wide range of additional toppings. It incorporates local 'flavors' to serve Filipino taste.

[edit] History

The idea of a cereal fast-food store came about during a visit to the United States. Charlene Falcis saw how cereals are a staple of American life and remembered Filipinos are also fond of cereals as well. So she convinced 5 of her friends to put up a joint venture and start the first cereal chain in the Philippines.

In 2005, they began conceptualizing the business — the shop’s location, floor layout and the menu. After a year of planning, the first Cerealicious outlet opened on January, 2006 inside the UST Parking Complex, near the University Hospital and the College of Education building.[1]

Soon after, the business grew and expanded to include 2 more main outlets in Taft and SM North and 3 kiosks in SM Megamall, SM San Lazaro and Greenhills. Outlets in Cebu and Alabang are set to open in 2007.

[edit] Products

Cerealicious offers customers different ways to enjoy cereals. Create-Your Own allows customers to experiment and play around with the assorted cereal brands with either dry or low-fat milk topped off by a wide variety of toppings such as nuts, fruits, cookies and candies like gummy bears.

Customers who find it hard to choose among the varied options can opt to order Blockbusters instead. Cereal Blockbusters are set combinations of cereals, milk slush and toppings named and inspired after hit movies such as Jumanggo (Jumanji), Apple-O 13 (Apollo 13), Cashewblanca (Casablanca), Froot Loose (Foot Loose), Jelly Maguire (Jerry Maguire) and Nutting Hill (Notting Hill).

Cerealicious also offers a drink made of cereals called Cerealicious Smoothies. These are shakes mixed with cereals that give it a crunchy texture. They are branded as cereal meal on the go.[2]
