In the fall 2004 semester, CVCC's total headcount was 4,480 students, 57% female, 43% male[1]. The racial makeup of the student body is 79.78% White, 16.5% Black or African American, 0.58% Native American, 1.18% Asian and 1.96% from other races. Fewer than 1 percent (.83%) of the students were Hispanic or Latino of any race.[2]

As of the fall 2005 semester, resident tuition is $72.65 per credit hour. Tuition for out-of-state students taking courses on-site is $220.85 per credit hour while out-of-state students taking courses on-line pay $141.35 per credit hour.[3]
