Central Switzerland is the region is geographically the heart and historically the origin of Switzerland, with the cantons of Uri, Schwyz, Obwalden, Nidwalden, Lucerne and Zug.

Central Switzerland is one of the NUTS 2 Statistical Regions of Europe.
