Central Mall is a shopping mall located in Fort Smith, AR. The keay retailers at the mall are Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters, Bath & Body Works, Limited Too and Victoria's Secret. It is anchored by Dillard's, Dillard's Men's Store, JCPenney and Sears. Fort Smith was recognized in 2004 by Inc. Magazine, as one of the top 25 small cities in America for doing business. The mall underwent a major renovation in 1999, which included new flooring, skylights, interior finishes and site lighting. Fort Smith's trade area includes 5 counties in 2 states, with a population of over 273,000. This mall is the only enclosed shopping center with a 60 mile radius. It has a beautiful new domed food court with an outside dining area and a children's soft play area constructed in 2002. with a seating capacity of 350. The mall is just located 1.2 miles off I-540. There is an expanded Convention Center which is a tremendous asset to the exploding tourist and convention market. Business and industry are drawn to the Fort Smith are by a strong pro-business climate, nationally recognized schools, outstanding medical facilities, and low cost of living.
