Central Highlands (Central America)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Running through the middle of Central America is a string of mountains and volcanoes, known as the Central Highlands. The highlands are part of a circle of volcanoes known as the Pacific Ring of Fire that runs through Japan, New Zealand, the Americas, and rims the entire Pacific Ocean.
The climate in the Central Highlands of Central America is generally cooler and receives much less rain the other regions.
