Central California

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Central California can refer to one of several divisions or regions of the U.S state of California:

  • The state is sometimes described as being in three main sections: Northern California (the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento Valley northward), Southern California (south of the Tehachapis), and Central California (the middle).
  • The Central Valley, inland, from Bakersfield in the south to Redding in the north.
  • The Central Coast, running on the coast between Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz.
