[edit] History
The school is located in the south side of the city of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Centennial was opened in 1967, 100 years after Canadian Confederation, as indicated by its name and is operated by the Upper Grand District School Board.
[edit] Green Team
Recently, Centennial's wiki page has become monitored recently due to the conflicting messages depicting the actuality of "Green Team". According to the school itself, the team became assembled to serve as influence towards the environmentally unfocused students, who provided nothing but additional problems for the litter situation. Fortunately, since its creation, "Green Team" has been successful in deterring students from littering, and has garnered Centennial much praise from other Guelph schools.
[edit] Fun Facts
Centennial was used as the set in the made-for-TV movie, Tagged: The Jonathan Wamback Story (2001), a film depicting the life of victim Jonathan Wamback, an Ontario teen who is attacked by a gang outside his school.
